We’re looking to hire a talented Business Analyst based in Mississauga, Canada.

Reporting to the Controller, the Business Analyst is responsible for supporting accounting, inventory, and payroll operations through detailed analysis, reporting, and process improvement. This role offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally, with driving accuracy and efficiency in financial and operational data management.

Primary Duties

  • Prepare and analyze weekly cash forecasts, monthly reconciliations, and ad hoc accounting reports.
  • Process accounts payable transactions, including voucher review, cheque processing, and invoice preparation.
  • Maintain and update actual, budget, and forecast data in CRS and SAP systems.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including audit report preparation and SOX documentation.
  • Perform inventory reporting, cycle counts, and reconciliation using SAP QuickView and related tools.
  • Manage tax reporting for customer billings (GST/HST/PST/QST), tax exemptions, and remittances.
  • Track and report on fixed assets, capex, annual counts, additions, and disposals.
  • Coordinate insurance billing, COI requests, accident reporting, and driver maintenance.
  • Support payroll processing, remittances, pensions, RRSP, and annual filings.
  • Liaise with inventory control, accounting, suppliers, and other departments to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with special projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate understanding of accounting principles.
  • Post-secondary education diploma required.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a computerized accounts payable or business analysis environment.
  • Proficient PC experience using Excel and Word; SAP experience beneficial.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication, planning, and analytical skills.

Working Conditions

  • Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time; may involve ascending/descending stairs, walking, stooping, and standing.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
