Job Scope: 
In this exciting Pre-Sales role, you will work between Evertz clients, Account Managers, R&D Engineers, Project Managers, and Executive Management to completely architect, design and document the requirements for Evertz end-to-end Software Defined Video Networking (SDVN) solutions for broadcast and media facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the account management team to define and document the scope of IP Broadcasting systems based on Evertz technologies
  • Assist customers and sales staff with selecting the right Evertz product/technology to meet end application needs
  • Understand competitive offerings and position Evertz solutions to take maximum advantage of key differentiators and be able to present that confidently to our customers
  • Refine system designs and provide accompanying documentation/requirements captures to help drive development of final specifications and contract terms
  • Take the lead on proposal creation and refinement
  • Collaborate with R&D on system designs and compliance documentation for RFI/RFP responses
  • Identify and manage project risks/gaps by clearly stating assumptions and working with clients/internal resources to mitigate risks in advance of project deployment.
  • Work with clients and internal resources to design, develop, document and execute on critical demonstrations/Proof of Concept's (POC's) of Evertz products and technologies
  • Ensure all documentation (drawings, quotes, requirement captures) are in place to hand the project over to Deployment Teams once the opportunity has been won
  • Travel as required to client sites

Qualifications:

  • Education in Electronics/Electrical/Computers/Television Broadcasting/Technical Copywriting or related field
  • Experience designing projects that have been implemented in a broadcast solution environment
  • Working knowledge of broadcast automation, device control, signal flow as well as media management and desk top workflow
  • Experience with Broadcast IT with network infrastructure an asset
  • Operational or Engineering experience working in a broadcast type facility
  • Knowledge of current digital video compression standards and file types
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage deadlines in a fast paced sales environment
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence and Visio also an asset

Location: Burlington, Ontario, In-office
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours
Vacancy: This is an existing position
Salary Range: $50,000 to $80,000 per year
