Job Description:

What will you work on?

The role will be responsible for leading strategy and product development for licensed plush category across all Spin Master brands.

How will you create impact?

  • Lead product development process (turnkey) for plush in collaboration with licensors and cross-functional team
  • Own competitive analysis for plush category -become the expert on the category with in-depth knowledge
  • Develop slots/rats across all top Spin IP & licenses for the specific product categories
  • Manage licensor relationships for strategy communication, product approvals, and quarterly reporting
  • Contribute to Global Brand Team & licensor key milestones (Big Bet reviews, sales summit, etc.)
  • Own the P&L; collaborate with US Sales and Global Brand Teams on pricing strategy
  • Lead regular forecasting and financial planning, including analysis within internal Spin Master system
  • Oversee product setup in all internal Spin Master systems
  • Participate in Sales Summit and Toy Fairs, including semi-annual travel
  • Create all sales support materials, including Toy Fair decks, sell sheets, product photography, and e-commerce copy

What are your skills and experience?

  • 3-5 years of consumer product brand management, experience in a new product-oriented industry, preferably working with toy, entertainment, fashion, or other pop culture products
  • University or College degree in Marketing, Commerce, or related field
  • Direct experience with the product development lifecycle, with a understanding of categories—including competitive set, price points, and buyer needs

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $90,000 to $110,000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
