Note: This is a one year contract position with an option for a one year continuance. Salary target for this position is $75,000 per annum. Unfortunately no medical benefits are offered for this position.

Unlike anything you’ve ever tasted, Skrewball lives up to its motto ‘Skrew the usual’ as it has quickly emerged as a new shot favorite, for bartenders and partygoers alike. Skrewball has been a phenomenon in the US and is now ready to take over the world. We’re looking for a Skrewball ambassador to introduce Canada to its new favorite, premium shot. Are you the one switching them off the usual?

Your Skills:

  • A strong network across bars and university campus communities, to be able to be wherever our target audience is partying.
  • Basic bartending experience, being able to ideate innovative drink serves
  • Excellent organizational skills and high operational independence. Diligence in budget tracking, monthly reporting, and overall project management
  • Understanding of and passion for brand building, ensuring your activations are supportive of the overall strategy and business goals
  • Strong public speaker; able to secure opportunities through charismatic presentations


Responsibilities

- Relationship Building:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with bar owners, bartenders and event organizers
  • Assist the commercial team with securing new listings and maintaining current ones

- Brand Experience:

  • Continuously develop and execute brand events to get our audience to see Skrewball, try it and talk about it
  • Partner up with relevant brands and people in the student community to create cultural relevance and trial among a younger audience
  • Implement ways to promote Skrewball’s drink strategy in bars and at events

- Brand Education:

  • Train and educate bar and retail staff on Skrewball and our drink strategy

- Collaborations:

  • Seek and develop collaboration opportunities with other brands or influencers
  • Identify and engage in relevant events to maximize Skrewball’s exposure and impact

- Brand performance:

  • Constantly get Skrewball into new bars and restaurants to increase its distribution and sales
  • Collaborate with the on-premise and retail teams on national Skrewball promotional sampling programs
  • Reporting results on a monthly base on key activities

- Industry expert:

  • In the know on the latest trends and popular bars and events for Skrewball’s target audience
  • Monitor and report on industry trends and competitive activities
  • Act as the face and voice of Skrewball Whiskey at various events and venues

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in bartending or events industry
  • Experience in a marketing or commercial role is a plus
  • Business related higher education is a plus
  • Fluent in English. French is a plus
  • This role requires you to regularly work evenings and weekends, and spend most of your time outside of the office in the field
  • This role is based in and focused on Toronto but will require regular travel across Canada
