Position Summary:
Do you have top-level bartending experience and strong roots in the community? Are you passionate about sharing your love for authentic spirits? Could you walk into any bar to pitch your brands, and organize events to bring them to the public? This is your chance to represent 3 authentic spirit brands, loved by both bartenders and consumers across the world: Havana Club, Altos tequila and Del Maguey mezcal.
As Rum & Tequila Brand Ambassador your unique responsibility will be to strengthen the presence of these brands in bars and restaurants. Secure visibility in top bars, win over the bartenders and get great cocktails in the hands of consumers to get them to know us.
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have a go-getter attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, a strong network in the bartender community, and the creativity to turn marketing strategies into execution.
We’re looking for a candidate with solid hospitality industry experience, having worked at least 3 years in high-level bars and/or a similar ambassador role.
This role is based in and primarily focused on Toronto but will require regular presence in Montreal as well as occasional travel to other provinces across the country.

Key Responsibilities
- Bartender Advocacy
- Create a strong relationship and brand reputation with the bartending community, getting recognized as the most authentic and preferred brands to pour to consumers
- Host competitions, trainings, guest shifts and other initiatives to create a highly engaged network
- Brand Experience
- Develop and execute brand activations to consistently build awareness and trial at key bars and events
- Partner up with lifestyle (mostly street culture) brands and events to create cultural relevance and trial among a younger audience
- Social Media
- Build and leverage a strong social media following around your brands to engage with both industry influencers and consumers
- Commercial
- Collaborate with the sales team to grow distribution, increasing the number of bars our brands are sold in by constantly pitching to decision-makers
- Deliver incremental sales through your activations, bartender preference, and the increased brand equity that you’ve built
- Education and tasting sessions with key stakeholders to facilitate buy-in
- Internal Ambassadorship
- Get internal stakeholders excited and supportive of the brands through continuous activity to win internal brand love
- Close collaboration with the brand owners, sharing your activity and identifying new opportunities together

Your Skills
- Strong (premium) bartending experience and a significant network within the industry
- Excellent organizational skills and high operational independence. Diligence in budget tracking, monthly reporting, and overall project management
- Experience with concepting and hosting brand experience events
- Understanding of and passion for brand building, ensuring your activations are supportive of the overall strategy and business goals
- Strong public speaker; able to rally support through charismatic presentations
- Strong affinity with the spirits business and Corby’s brands, especially rum, tequila and mezcal
- Affinity with street culture, passionate about hip-hop and fashion
Education & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in the spirits industry, including bartending related experience
- Experience in a marketing or commercial role is a plus
- Business related higher education is a plus
- Fluent in English. French is highly desirable
- This role requires you to regularly work evenings and weekends, and spend most of your time outside of the office in the field
- This role is based in and focused on Toronto but will require regular presence in Montreal as well as occasional travel to other provinces
