As a Personal Lines Support Representative, you will be responsible for providing assistance and guidance to Retail Sales staff regarding home and auto insurance products. You will assist with front line underwriting and make recommendations on applicable coverages within risk selection guidelines.


How you will create impact:
  • Answer and effectively handle inbound calls in a timely manner to ensure performance benchmarks are met.
  • Maintain knowledge of current guidelines and processes.
  • Answer general questions and offer guidance to retail sales staff/employees regarding home and auto insurance products.
  • Assist in the navigation and interpretation of the risk selection manual, policy wordings, endorsements, coverages, exclusions, MVR results, Autoplus reports, and claims history.
  • Complete accurate documentation of interactions with callers.
  • Provide support to internal business partners with off-queue work, as required.
  • Assist in the mentoring and peer advising within the department.

To join our team:
  • You have two years of experience in front lines sales and service of P&C products or underwriting.
  • You have working knowledge of personal lines policy wordings, endorsements, underwriting manuals, tools, products, and systems.
  • You have a strong understanding of insurance concepts, risk assessments, and industry regulatory issues.
  • You have a post-secondary education.
  • You have or are actively working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.

Salary information

“Expected salary/hourly range $43,550 - $72,583 (min-max, full range)

Salary placement

“The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.”

Incentive/Variable pay

“Employees may also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn additional compensation tied to individual and/or business performance, or other business metrics.”
