What You'll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Financial Crimes and Enterprise Risk Technology. You’ll be at the heart of CIBC’s digital transformation, successfully delivering complex, enterprise-scale projects involving multiple back-end systems. As an Application Consultant, you’ll design, solution, assemble, implement and maintain easy and flexible solutions that enhance the client experience across Risk, Compliance and Audit businesses. You’ll act as a subject matter expert in both Business and Technology. You’ll collaborate with a diverse team and lead the planning, strategy, design, development and integration of these applications.

How You'll Succeed

• Design and development - Perform and coordinate complicated application programming activities. Design the application's technical infrastructure using specific databases, programming languages, utilities, and testing approaches. Lead the design and development of cost-effective and innovative solutions. 
• Strategic planning - Develop multi-year technology roadmaps that align with the bank’s vision, strategy, and business goals. Lead multiple complicated projects involving backend systems, new technology, and the enhancement of existing applications.
• Leadership skills - Act as the development team lead and run code-review sessions with the wider team to ensure the project is on track to meet goals. Work closely with Project Managers, BA, and development resources in Agile and hybrid delivery models. Support and mentor intermediate and senior developers by sharing knowledge, collaborating and problem solving. 

Who You Are

• You can demonstrate more than 6+ years experience in:  Application Architecture and Design in building scalable solutions. Experience with Azure cloud services, Azure Integration Services, Azure Data Storage services (including blobs, lakes, files, queues tables, etc.), Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Function Apps, REST APIs, Micro Services and API Management. Experience in Java, C# and .NET. Experience in Database design and programming with Oracle, SQL, Data Migration, Informatica and PowerBI. Experience with Forms design and creation, and 3rd party app support. It's an asset: Working knowledge of Compliance and Risk Management domains.
