The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Associate, Wealth and Insurance Advisory Services to join our CU Wealth team for 12 months.

Reporting to the VP, Wealth & Insurance Advisory Services the Associate, Wealth and Insurance Advisory Services is responsible for driving the execution of programs that support the long-term CUW vision. This role is designed to handle all aspects of implementing and continuously improving business processes and client experience through the various programs offered to our credit union partners.

What your day looks like:

  • Proactively engage, communicate, and present program/initiative progress, risk and mitigation plans to business and functional leaders
  • Manage activities and projects with ability to mitigate risks and issues, take corrective actions, address.
  • Lead, run, and oversee all aspects of implementing projects, and continuous improvement initiatives; including planning, governance, execution and change management
  • Partner with cross-functional partners to develop & manage budgets and plans for the programs.
  • Engage with credit union stakeholders to gather intelligence and feedback in developing/refining relevant and compelling programs
  • Reviewing and analyzing all vendors, supply, and price options
  • Managing the overall vendor performance including Contract, Performance, Financial and Relationship
Requirements

Your experience and skills:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 3-5 years' experience
  • Understanding of wealth management/investment solutions (including compliance); experience within the credit union network is an asset
  • Proven experience writing communications to external partners and supporting events whether in person or remote
  • Proven ability to build relationships with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Experience optimizing partnerships and/or sales programs
  • Flexibility to lead multiple and challenging priorities
  • Both big picture thinking and detail-oriented doing.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation) & interpersonal skills, building stakeholder relationships
  • Client focused ability and agility to find innovative ways to resolve problems
  • Outside of the box thinker who sees opportunity in obstacles and possibilities in challenges.
  • Proven experience working with and partnering with cross-functional programs
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload and multiple simultaneous projects
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $83,000 - $100,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
