Who Are We Looking For?
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of relevant internship or co-op experience; or, 3–5 years of relevant experience in software development or application support
Technical Skills
- Foundational knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar)
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Exposure to scripting, automation, or API development through coursework or projects (e.g. PowerShell, shell scripting)
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle concepts (Agile, DevOps)
- Experience working with APIs, integrations, and enterprise systems is an asset
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, or modern DevOps practices is an asset
Professional Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Nice to Have

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
