We are currently seeking an Associate Software Engineering Intern to join our team. At 407 ETR, we are committed to providing meaningful work experiences that empower early career professionals. As a intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience, learn from industry experts, and contribute to real-world projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be an integral part of a Scrum team by contributing to its initial application development, production delivery, and ongoing maintenance
Work directly with fellow team members, Shared Services teams, as well as those business stakeholders & clients who request work of your team. In short, you will work with everyone in our department, and never in isolation
Gain knowledge through collaboration, pairing, and suggestions for continuous improvement
Actively participate in architecture/design reviews, code reviews, and your product demonstrations
Help to enhance our program by participating in Career Fairs, interviewing, and mentorship of upcoming internship students
Have fun while learning!
If you join 407 ETR, you will be working with an awesome team. You will receive mentorship and work directly in part with other past engineering and computer science graduates who have now built upon their education and continued a professional career within IT. Upon completion of your term, you will walk away with broadened technical skills, invaluable professional, real-world experience within your field of study.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Cloud services and concepts (AWS, Azure)
Knowledge of Python, Java, JavaScript, REACT or equivalent coding language(s)
Knowledge of automated code build, test, deploy activities, using tools such as with Jenkins, Docker
Familiarity with text markup languages and data formats (YAML, JSON, Markdown etc.)
Familiarity with using version control, i.e.. Git, SVN, etc.
Familiarity with databases, i.e.. relational, no-SQL, etc.
Solid communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
