Who You Will Work With:

An Associate Product Manager (APM) plays a crucial role in the product development process, working closely with product managers and development teams to create and enhance products. The APM is responsible for gathering and analyzing product data, interpreting consumer feedback, and plays a supporting role in developing strategies to improve product features and user experience. In partnership with the squad, collaborate with the development team to iteratively deliver product functionality that accomplishes product objectives and key results aligned to the product strategy.

What You Will Do:  ​

Product Performance, Operations & Governance

  • Monitor product performance, operational health, and key business metrics, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support product decisions and roadmap priorities.
  • Support forecasting, business case development, and reporting activities, while partnering with Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure products meet operational, regulatory, and governance requirements.

Product Feature Development & Delivery

  • Contribute to the design, improvement, and delivery of product features by collaborating closely with engineering teams and supporting cross‑functional workflows.

  • Support the definition and documentation of product requirements and user stories. Assist with backlog preparation, prioritization support, and ensuring work is ready for development and delivery under the guidance of the PM/SPM

Product Readiness

  • Monitor product usage and user feedback post‑launch, escalating issues, risks, and improvement opportunities to the broader product team.

Product Launch & Enablement

  • Support product launches by coordinating with marketing and customer‑facing teams to ensure accurate messaging, positioning, and go‑to‑market readiness.

  • Create and maintain product documentation and enablement materials for internal teams including audit and external users to drive adoption and effective product use.

Market & Competitive Analysis

  • Supporting the strategy team conducting market and industry research in partnership in order to identify trends, market dynamics, and competitive insights at the product or squad level.

  • Analyze market trends and competitive products to inform long term product planning and roadmap development.

What You Bring: 

  • Ability to analyze product, operational, and financial performance data to generate insights and support product recommendations.

  • Familiarity with payments, financial services, or other regulated industries, including an understanding of risk, compliance, and governance considerations.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and proactively within team.  

  • Ability to engage in technical discussions and translate product needs into basic technical requirements.  

  • Familiarity with user research, product discovery basics, and agile development principles.  

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and contribute to team delivery goals.  

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address challenges in data interpretation or market analysis

  • A mindset to stay curious about industry trends, emerging technologies, and new research methodologies.

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.   

What We’re Offering: 

The hiring range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000, and you will also be eligible for our short-term incentive plan. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, but Interac’s commitment goes beyond compensation.
