Associate Strategic Sales Manager
Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Sales, the Associate Strategic Sales Manager will support SharkNinja’s portfolio launches and promotional strategy within the Canadian market. This role will focus on assisting in trade marketing, field sales, and product development, ensuring that the Canadian market's needs are considered to drive revenue and profitability. This individual will support channel development, assortment, pricing decisions, and work closely with the Canadian field sales team.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Mississauga, Ontario office in Canada.
Overview:
Our Associate Strategic Sales Manager should embody SharkNinja’s success drivers: rarely satisfied, progress over perfection, details make the difference, winning is a team sport, and someone who communicates for impact.
Supporting the Shark portfolio, this individual will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations, and Product Development teams to contribute to the best assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies to grow market share.
Responsibilities:
The Associate Strategic Sales Manager will contribute by:
- Assisting in developing shelf assortment strategies by category and retailer to drive revenue, market share, profitability, and YOY growth.
- Supporting long-range placement strategies with Marketing and Product Development to meet category margin targets.
- Collaborating with key accounts and analytics teams to assist in the development of promotional strategies, including validating sales lifts and coordinating necessary asset support.
- Identifying opportunities to eliminate ineffective trade spend and focus on high ROI activations for each brand.
- Contributing to distribution strategies that ensure our brands are winning in diverse and evolving retail channels.
- Assisting with category performance reviews, identifying product and retail performance issues, and helping develop actions for improvement.
- Supporting the sales team with in-market visits and customer meetings to offer strategic insights, product knowledge, and market strategies.
- Assisting with the development of mid- and long-term roadmaps with marketing teams to ensure winning assortments for changing channels.
- Regularly updating management on placement progress and results.
- Collaborating with Sales and Finance to ensure the assortment portfolios meet margin enhancement targets and pricing objectives.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; MBA a plus.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a strategic sales environment.
- Experience in retail sales analysis, promotional strategies, or GTM preferred.
- CPG experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
