As an Associate on the EllisDon Developments, Investments & Finance Team, you will:

  • Build, maintain, and enhance financial models for real estate development opportunities across multiple asset classes, with a primary focus on residential (purpose-built rental and condominium) transactions across Canada and the United States.
  • Produce detailed underwriting analyses to support the structuring of land acquisitions, investments, and partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to develop investment thesis’ and identify prospective sites for future development opportunities.
  • Support debt financing activities, including engaging with lenders and assisting in the structuring and execution of financing strategies.
  • Support equity capital raising efforts by engaging with investors and assisting in the structuring of partnership opportunities.
  • Assist in the negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, partnership agreements, and development management documentation.
  • Liaise with internal EllisDon stakeholders (e.g., Planning & Developments, Marketing, Construction, Accounting, Legal, Executive Committees) and external stakeholders (e.g., partners, clients, brokers, consultants) to help drive successful project outcomes.
  • Represent EllisDon Developments at industry events and contribute to broader team initiatives and ad hoc projects.

If you’re a fit for this role, you likely have:

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, based out of our Downtown Toronto and Mississauga offices
  • 2–4+ years of experience in real estate development, investment, or similarly complex financial modeling.
  • An undergraduate degree. Progress toward or completion of a CFA, CPA, or CBV designation is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, build relationships, and operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong technical (advanced Excel), analytical, and communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • This position has a salary range of $120,000+ annually, including variable compensation
