Execute SEO and GEO initiatives to improve MaintainX’s visibility in search engines and AI-generated answers. Manage content refreshes, gap analysis, keyword research, rank tracking, backlink evaluation, technical SEO support, and publishing workflows. Coordinate with web, design, content, product teams, and vendors. Run experiments with the Senior SEO/GEO Specialist, document findings, explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders, and progressively take ownership of core projects.

MaintainX is a leading mobile-first work execution platform for industrial and frontline teams. More than 13,000 customers, including Duracell, McDonald's, Shell, DHL and Volvo, use MaintainX to cut unplanned downtime and run better operations, across 13.9 million managed assets and 79.5 million completed work orders.

In August 2026 MaintainX became part of Autodesk, joining Autodesk Operations Solutions, the organization unifying Autodesk's operations platform alongside Tandem, FlexSim and Fusion Operations. Autodesk's strategy is to converge design, make and operate into one continuous lifecycle: design an asset, build it, run it, then feed what you learn running it back into the next design. Autodesk had design and make. Operate is the phase that tells you what actually happened, and it is ours.

Role context

This role sits on the Demand Generation team, where SEO and GEO (generative engine optimization) is a fast-growing source of pipeline. Buyers now ask ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews which maintenance software to consider, and our job is to make sure MaintainX is in that answer and described well. Today the work is run by one person. You'll help make it a team of two.

The role

  • You will turn our SEO and GEO strategy into shipped work, so MaintainX shows up wherever buyers search.

  • Run content refreshes and gap pieces from brief to QA to publish, so priority pages recover and hold their rankings and AI citations.

  • Review backlink and offsite citation prospects to keep every link we earn high quality.

  • Support technical SEO and keyword research, flagging issues and opportunities before they cost us traffic.

  • Be the day-to-day contact for our web, design, content and product teams and outside vendors, turning their requests into clear next steps and following through until the work ships.

  • Design and run experiments with our Senior SEO/GEO Specialist to learn what moves visibility in LLMs, and document what you find.

Most of your partners don't own SEO, so part of the job is explaining why a change matters so they want to make it. Our Senior Specialist will train you on our tools and processes and mentor you. Within 6 to 12 months, you'll own execution on the team's core projects, handle ad hoc requests independently, and propose experiments of your own.

About you

  • 1 to 2 years in SEO, through a role or a strong internship

  • Hands-on keyword research and rank tracking in Semrush, Ahrefs or a similar tool

  • A clear view of how search is changing, including how LLMs surface and cite sources

  • Tests you've run or contributed to, and what you learned from them (side projects exploring GEO count)

  • Experience explaining technical ideas to non-technical teammates and getting them on board

  • The organization to juggle several projects and follow up until each is done

  • Comfort making decisions without a clear answer, because search rarely offers one

  • Nice to have

  • Screaming Frog or other technical audit tools

  • Exposure to GEO and AEO tools such as Profound or AirOps

  • B2B SaaS or demand generation experience

We offer

  • A product worth recommending. Operations teams in factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses already choose MaintainX, so you'll be earning visibility for something customers love.

  • An early seat. GEO is new and our team is small. You'll own real projects from week one and learn from the person who built the playbook.

  • Autodesk scale, same mission. As part of Autodesk, we have more resources and reach, pointed at the problem we were already solving.

  • Room to grow. Search is being rewritten right now, and the people who learn it early become the people the company asks.

Values and how we work

We reward output and promote quickly when people deliver. We test, measure and share what we learn, including what didn't work. You get autonomy, and we expect you to ask early when you're stuck.

Our mission is to keep the physical world running. Factories, fleets, hospitals and campuses stay up because the people who maintain them have tools worth using. That is what we build.

Compensation and benefits. Base pay is one part of the package. Depending on the role, compensation may also include commission, an annual bonus and equity. Benefits differ by country. For roles in the United States, Autodesk’s benefits are described at benefits.autodesk.com. For roles in Canada and other countries, the plan differs on health coverage, retirement and leave, and your recruiter will walk you through it.

Belonging. We take pride in a culture where everyone can thrive. More at autodesk.com/company/global-belonging. More on where this is going: Autodesk CEO Andrew Anagnost on building the future of connected operations, and AOS SVP Stephen Hooper on welcoming MaintainX to Autodesk.
