Customer Analytics – Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W)
Role Purpose
The Customer Analytics role for Beauty & Wellbeing (B&W) serves as the financial and analytical foundation for Customer Development and BU management, managing trade investments and enabling profitable growth through insights and partnerships. The role ensures full, E2E stewardship of trade investment, manages trade P&L forecasting, supports decision making for resource allocation, and provides the BU with clear foresight on performance, risks, and opportunities, as well acts as the key finance resource partnering BU direct functions (CS&P, P&P), CBD org and CD Ops.

Key Responsibilities
1. Partner BU on Trade Investment Decision Making
• Act as the primary financial partner for trade to BU Category Leads, CS&P and Performance Portfolio Management, supporting scenarios, ROI evaluations, and strategic guidance on trade investment choices, providing forward looking insights into drivers of performance, risks/opportunities, and recommended interventions
2. Partner CBD on Trade Allocation & Spend Governance
• Collaborate with CBD teams to review trade budgets, optimize spend, and track compliance to annual agreements.
• Partner CBD Org to in POR reconciliation process, leveraging new tools and ways of working
• Provide insights and updates to CBD Org and BU on volume forecasts, customer incentives and any commercial levers that may impact trade position.
3. Partner CD Ops on Accounting & Financial Planning
• Through active partnership with CD Ops NA, lead (from BU side) trade forecasting process (forecast and Cashup) in PBCS.
• Manage total trade spend across customers and categories, ensuring accuracy, transparency and alignment with B&W financial objectives.
• Partner with CD Ops to ensure correct flow to EG.
• Support CD Ops in system evolution and process enhancements (e.g., Pigment, WoW redesign), ensuring trade related accuracy and improved efficiency across teams
• Partner with CD Ops team to ensure accounting clarity for all trade programs and audit ready documentation and proper financial treatment.
• Identify anomalies, perform variance analysis, and ensure financial and operational controls are fully met.
6. Provide Insights to BU on Trade Allocation by Category & Customer
• Provide in depth analysis of customer level performance, promotions, and investment efficiency to guide where to “bet” across customers, supporting NRM.
• Generate insights that help BU prioritize resources, understand drivers of results, and shape category strategies.

What You will Need to Succeed:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

Years of experience: Minimum four years of relevant work experience

Must have skills: Prior work experience in Accounting or Financial Reporting, strong analytical and problem-solving ability, experience building data models/analytics, and strong technical acumen

Nice to have skills: strong skills with PowerBIs and data visualizations tools

Soft skills: strong communication, relationship building, time management, attention to detail, and project management skills

Pay: The pay range for this position is $84,900-$127,300. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
