Associate Director, Customer & Channel Marketing - Away From Home (AFH) at a glance...
As Associate Director, Customer & Channel Marketing at Kraft Heinz Canada, you will have a role of leading and executing channel marketing plans as well as supporting the strategic development of Away From Home (AFH) priorities.
The AFH Customer & Channel Marketing structure manages brands and opportunities through commercial contract renewals, RFPs and commercialization of new products. This position will lead the Retail Meal Solution (RMS), C-Store and Emerging Chains as well as manage two direct reports leading the Commercial (QSR/FSR) and Non-Commercial 27 vertical channel & regional chains. The Associate Director position will directly impact and influence the growth and profitability of our priority AFH customers such as Tim Hortons, Loblaws, RECIPE, Sobeys, ARAMARK, Compass & emerging chains.
The Associate Director will work closely with Category Marketing, Sales and Customer teams to execute innovation and Brand programming. This position will participate in the development of channel focused strategies and marketing plans, aide in the development of total customer plans and will lead the execution of the annual business plans to achieve both 1YP & 3YP objectives.
What's on the menu?

  • Deliver KPIs: Net Sales Volume (NSV), Contribution Margin (CMA), Whitespace, Market Share and Brand Impressions
  • Prioritize Whitespace pipeline (existing and new products) while determining financial, resources required and alignment to timeline by cross functional teams
  • Develop and execute the relevant channel strategy to support the overall AFH priorities
  • The Associate Director will manage total business strategy integrating category and customer needs to deliver against short and long-term growth opportunities including Business Reviews & Strategic Plans.
  • Lead the insights agenda for the channel that will unlock growth by delivering new and incremental menu occasions across dayparts
  • Develop marketing tools that are channel / customer specific (i.e. healthcare, education, emerging chains) to drive core brand growth
  • Build a strong internal and external network within Culinary, Insights, Marketing and Sales to build trust, develop an understanding of business drivers and act with urgency against priorities for the channel customer to be indispensable supplier
  • Effectively support strong execution against category channel plans to meet key business targets (net sales, distribution, etc.) Drive volume opportunities on core categories with key host foods in
  • Build consumer facing branded partnerships with key customers across focus channels
  • Execute the branded innovation pipeline with target customers and drive value into the innovation pipeline with opportunity identification and early customer feedback.

  • Account Management experience an asset
  • Completed Bachelor's / Masters degree an asset
  • Category / Brand ownership experience
  • People manager experience
  • Demonstrated leadership, drive for results and superior execution
  • Superior communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills working with many levels within the Kraft Heinz organization and customer head off leadership
  • Solid analytical, problem solving skills & financial skill set
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to identify and develop innovative ideas, understand brand strategies and business solutions
  • Role is a hybrid model with 3 days in the office at our Toronto HQ (Queens Quay Terminal) and 2 days remote
