Applications Engineer - RF Solutions

Responsibilities 

• Functional / Design Verification testing of hardware and software for RF Product Line
• Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of prototype electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems for performance, reliability and usability
• Record and report test results
• Create documented procedures and processes related to testing products for use in production
• Assist production in resolving R&D related production issues
• Project involvement and issue/deliverable tracking
• Assisting customers and Evertz sales team with RF solutions selection and system design, while maintaining a strong and professional relationship with all customers.
• Assist with RF related RFP and RFI proposals by providing the most cost effective and innovative solution, with accompanying system drawing.
• Ability to travel to customer sites regionally and overseas to conduct demos and customer meetings
• Being able to travel regionally and overseas at any required time
   

Qualifications: 

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Computer/Networking Engineering
• Experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting is an asset
• Familiar with troubleshooting techniques and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics
• Strong manual dexterity and experience working with test measuring tools
• Passion for learning new technology software and hardware
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational, planning, time management and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills and initiative
• Attentive to the needs of customers, responds quickly and competently to customer requests
• Adept at learning and adapting to new technologies
