This Position reports to:

Proposal manager
 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Sales organization and customers throughout the sales process by adapting ABB’s products with customer applications to meet their requirements/specifications. Each day, you will select optimized products and technology for adaptation, prepare relevant documentation, proposals and serve as a key technical resource for the assigned area & proposal team. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities by proactively prospecting, networking.
This role is contributing to the ELSE Application Sales Department. This position is a replacement of a current role.

The work model for the role is: Onsite - In Office
You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Developing and implementing solutions, product packages, and software applications with your team.

  • Understanding customer needs and requirements, and effectively communicating the ability of ABB’s solutions to address those needs.

  • Coordinating the product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the value and benefits of ABB’s solutions.

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with other internal engineering teams, business leaders, project managers and stakeholders

  • Interface with external partners, customers, and other applicable country specific regulatory agencies, as required on technical issues

  • Work with Advanced Application and functional engineering teams to build estimates and schedules.

  • Supporting in preparing sales proposals and negotiating contracts to secure new businesses.

  • Providing leadership and be accountable for delivery of design products solutions within budget

Qualifications:

  • Electrical engineering degree preferred, and an active member of the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) association is preferred

  • 5 to 10 Years of commercial and industrial market segment experience with MV & LV equipment and MV/LV switchgear, industry standards ANSI/IEC/CSA

  • Good working knowledge of LV & MV electrical distribution, automation, and control products.

  • Good understanding of the customer’s problems, needs and challenges as well as industry-specific knowledge preferred.

  • Good insights on competitive landscape, competitor’s offering, and competitor’s go-to-market model.

  • Good capacity to listen with analytical and technical skills.

  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills with great negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Autonomous, entrepreneurial & team spirit

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $87,750 and $128,700 annually.
