Who we areAbout Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

The Pricing Strategy team is part of the Stripe Product Marketing organization and is responsible for how Stripe prices its products. Our work is highly cross-functional and we partner closely with Product, Finance, and Sales to tackle some of the most visible and commercially impactful decisions at Stripe. We're looking for someone who blends financial analysis, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement to help us price new products and evaluate their pricing performance as the products evolve.

What you'll do
  • Be rigorous and detail-oriented. You are energized by complex, ambiguous pricing questions and are comfortable going deep in the data to find answers.
  • Be a storyteller. You translate complex, nuanced findings into compelling, actionable narratives that resonate with senior stakeholders and drive the organization to action.
  • Be a pragmatic problem-solver. You are comfortable making and defending well-reasoned judgments even when data is imperfect or incomplete, and know how to ask the right questions and find creative diagnostic approaches to move forward with confidence.
  • Be a collaborator. You partner effectively across Engineering, Product, Finance, and Sales to drive alignment and get things built.
Responsibilities
  • Drive pricing analytics and strategy by conducting rigorous analysis on ambiguous, high-impact questions about the Stripe business, and translating findings into clear recommendations that shape pricing decisions and commercial strategy
  • Uncover growth opportunities by analyzing pricing realization, identifying products where pricing adjustments are warranted, and understanding how factors like multi-product adoption and user churn shape the economics of our business
  • Accelerate the pace of pricing decisions by codifying solutions to the complex, recurring diagnostic questions that sit at the core of our pricing strategy
  • Improve our data and systems infrastructure by identifying gaps in how we capture and evaluate pricing outcomes, and partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to design and implement robust, scalable solutions
Who you are

We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or business major (e.g., Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Business Administration)
  • 5+ years of experience in data-intensive roles with a focus on translating insights into strategic business outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving ability, proficiency with SQL (minimum of 3 years advanced SQL), and strong understanding of data relationships
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally (e.g., Product, Engineering, Finance teams)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to toggle between high-level strategy and granular system details
Preferred qualifications
  • Master's degree in a STEM major
  • Domain knowledge in pricing or go-to-market
  • Experience in fast-paced environments (e.g., high-growth fintech, tech, or management consulting)
  • Familiarity with Python, R, or similar languages for advanced data manipulation
