POSITION OVERVIEW


The KYC analyst is responsible for providing high-quality administrative and analytical support to the BDC Financing team in managing the Know Your Client (KYC) section of loan applications. Key responsibilities include reviewing customer files to gain an overall understanding of the loan, obtaining all necessary KYC documents and information from customers, ensuring the completeness of KYC forms, analyzing the provided. KYC information, raising any flags to the Business Development Lead (BDL), and following up with clients. The KYC Analyst will collaborate closely with the BDL and the Underwriter, working as an integral part of the team.


CHALLENGES TO BE MET


  • Lead the KYC process from end to end in collaboration with the Business Development Lead and other internal partners, ensuring timely and effective collection of all necessary documentation, as well as analysis of these documents.
  • Effectively manage multiple files simultaneously.
  • Analyze and identify any non-compliant issues.
  • Apply a client-centric approach to provide excellent service to entrepreneurs and build trusting relationships.
  • Respond promptly, accurately, and professionally to existing and potential customers, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Lead and the Underwriter to meet all KYC requirements, aiming to submit error-free KYC documents.
  • Keep abreast of changes made to policies, procedures and detailed processes and trends related to KYC issues that may have an impact BDC.

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with external and internal partners
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Client service orientation with a demonstrated ability to take initiative in listening and resolving issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in interactions with entrepreneurs and colleagues.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and handle various situations effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Teamwork, creativity, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is mandatory in Québec only.
  • The successful candidate will be required to work on-site at our office a minimum of three days per week.
