Manage and grow a portfolio of technology-sector clients by identifying needs, providing advice, and selling BDC financing and consulting services. Execute marketing and business development plans, network in the local tech ecosystem, analyze and negotiate loan proposals, and deliver outstanding customer service while collaborating with internal teams to meet growth and retention targets.

Provide end-to-end KYC support for loan applications: collect and verify KYC documentation, analyze client information and financial statements, flag compliance issues, collaborate with Business Development Leads and Underwriters, and maintain client-focused communication and timely file management.

Serve as a trusted advisor delivering end-to-end operations and digital transformation consulting for SMEs. Lead diagnostics, design practical technology-enabled solutions (ERP, MES, WMS, IIoT, AI), manage project delivery, drive measurable operational improvements, and support business development and thought leadership activities.

Lead origination, evaluation, structuring, and execution of subordinated debt, mezzanine, and quasi-equity investments. Manage due diligence, portfolio monitoring, client relationships, exit strategies, and business development to support growth and ownership transitions.

Lead investment and financing activities for defence and dual-use companies: identify, evaluate, and structure financing (loans, mezzanine, quasi-equity); manage portfolio risk and performance; drive business development and stakeholder relationships with government, primes, and industry; apply sector-specific procurement and compliance knowledge; represent BDC publicly; collaborate internally to deliver integrated financing and advisory solutions and contribute market intelligence and investment strategy.

Responsible for implementing and enhancing BDC's Third Party Risk Management framework, assessing third party risks, and collaborating with stakeholders across functions to improve risk management practices.

Lead BDC's integration of economic reconciliation across strategy and operations by building Indigenous relationships, advising senior leaders, overseeing the Reconciliation team and Action Plan, ensuring governance, tracking performance, and embedding Indigenous perspectives into products, capital allocation, and organizational culture.

Lead end-to-end, multi-year advisory engagements with 8–12 high-potential SME CEOs (defence supply chain), manage delivery teams, drive strategy definition and execution, support implementation and leadership development, track client performance, aid business development, and represent BDC externally.

The Senior Manager, Underwriting is responsible for leading credit analysis and due diligence for corporate financing transactions, ensuring quality recommendations while balancing risk and client needs.
