Job Description

This is an existing role for the Business Application Services (BAS) team providing production support for a firm-wide real estate ERP system, a range of supported financial/business application services, and the overall integration needs of cloud information systems.
 

The BAS team is focused on delivering a total customer experience on the highest level – first class support from the first interaction, to the last. To support our objective, the ideal candidate will be technically proficient while maintaining a dedicated focus on the end-user experience.

This is an onsite position based in Toronto.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with production support for Business Applications to end users, power users and subject matter experts.
  • Production support covers incidents, service requests, problem management and managing change requests from start to finish.
  • Assist in the resolution of customer incidents and problems while delivering exceptional customer experience in a timely manner and providing work around as necessary
  • Develop and contribute operating procedures to on-board new application services
  • Implement enhancements, change requests, break-fixes, patches, and updates. Develop test plans, test, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure alignment with business objective.
  • Stay abreast of changing applications landscape and proactively propose steps to increase efficiency
  • Liaise with IT groups to secure their services and ensure robust inter-department communications
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and recommend respective solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • 2+ years in a similar IT production support in a large corporate setting
  • 1+ years of experience in ITIL aligned incident, problem, change and release management.
  • Prior experience in the real-estate industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience with Stored procedures, SSIS, SQL 2005, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation for upper management
  • 3+ years of experience in the Real Estate Development sector in IT and software/service as it relates to business system recommendations, implementations, analysis, development, and support.

EDUCATION/DESIGNATIONS/LICENSES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant experience including IT certifications
  • ITIL v3 Foundations or higher
