About the role
Tidal Commerce is seeking an AI Transformation Lead to own and mature our AI delivery capability across both internal operations and client-facing transformation programs. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role for someone who has real-world AI digital transformation experience in mid-market or enterprise environments—not just experimentation or PoCs, but production deployments that drive measurable business outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of delivery excellence, AI strategy, and commercial impact. You will help modernize how Tidal (and the Umbrella group of companies) delivers projects using AI-enabled approaches, while also partnering with Sales and Leadership to shape, scope, and deliver AI transformation engagements for our clients.

Key Objectives
- Transform Tidal Commerce’s delivery model by embedding AI-driven practices, tooling, and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability
- Act as a senior AI delivery leader on client engagements, ensuring AI initiatives move from strategy to production with clear value realization
- Support pre-sales and sales efforts by shaping AI transformation offerings, solution approaches, and delivery plans for mid-market and enterprise clients
Responsibilities
Internal AI Delivery Transformation
- Assess and evolve Tidal Commerce’s current delivery methodologies to incorporate AI-enabled workflows (e.g., AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, analytics, and delivery management)
- Define and implement best practices for delivering AI-enabled and AI-first projects at scale
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, velocity, and quality using AI tools and automation
- Partner with Engineering, Product, and Delivery leadership to pilot and operationalize new AI-driven delivery models
- Establish repeatable playbooks, standards, and governance for AI delivery across teams
- Mentor delivery leads, architects, and consultants on applying AI responsibly and effectively in project delivery
Sales & Pre-Sales Enablement
- Partner with Sales and Leadership to shape AI transformation offerings and value propositions
- Participate in pre-sales activities including discovery sessions, solution design, estimates, and proposals
- Help qualify AI opportunities by assessing client readiness, data maturity, and organizational fit
- Contribute to thought leadership, case studies, and internal enablement materials related to AI delivery and transformation
Client Delivery & AI Transformation Leadership
- Lead or oversee AI transformation programs for mid-market and enterprise clients, from discovery through implementation and scaling
- Translate business objectives into pragmatic AI use cases with clear ROI, feasibility, and delivery plans
- Ensure AI solutions are production-ready, scalable, secure, and aligned with client operating models
- Act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across business, technology, and leadership teams
- Guide clients through change management considerations related to AI adoption, including process, skills, and governance
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technology delivery, digital transformation, or consulting roles, with hands-on leadership in AI-driven initiatives
- Demonstrated experience delivering AI or advanced data-driven solutions in production at mid-market or enterprise scale
- Strong understanding of modern AI concepts and applications, including (but not limited to):
- Machine learning and predictive analytics
- Generative AI and LLM-based solutions
- AI integration within digital platforms, workflows, and enterprise systems
- Experience leading cross-functional delivery teams (engineering, data, product, design, change management)
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured AI solutions with measurable outcomes
- Strong client-facing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and executives
- Experience working in consulting or professional services environments is strongly preferred
Nice to Have
- Experience delivering AI initiatives within commerce, digital platforms, or enterprise SaaS ecosystems
- Familiarity with modern cloud platforms and AI ecosystems (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Exposure to AI governance, risk management, and responsible AI practices
- Experience supporting sales cycles, including solutioning and executive presentations

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is CA$150,000 – CA$250,000 per year.
