This is a hybrid position based out of Toronto.
Role
Design, build, own, and maintain production agent systems that power AskGP, the conversational AI assistant within Guidepoint360, a client facing platform used by investors, consultants, and enterprise teams. AskGP operates across Guidepoint’s expert network of 1.75+ million advisors and a library of 60,000+ expert interview transcripts, synthesizing insights with citations to support high confidence decision making.
AskGP is a flagship external product and a core part of Guidepoint360’s roadmap. Over the next 12 months, AskGP will expand beyond question answering into a foundation for automation across client workflows, integrating with internal and external systems via MCP and related orchestration patterns. This role sits at the center of that evolution, owning the agent systems that directly impact client experience, answer quality, trust, compliance, and platform scale. The work influences how clients discover insights, how quickly they reach decisions, and how Guidepoint differentiates through validated, AI powered research at scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and implement agent workflows that power AskGP using frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain
- Own and maintain existing agent systems in steady state, including monitoring, fixes, and incremental improvements
- Build agents that handle intent interpretation, task decomposition, tool use, and human escalation within AskGP
- Design and maintain retrieval augmented generation pipelines using embeddings, Elasticsearch, and structured data
- Develop and maintain evaluation pipelines for agent behavior and outputs
- Improve agent reliability, latency, and cost in production
- Integrate agents with internal services, APIs, and data stores
- Monitor agent systems using observability platforms such as Datadog
- Debug and mitigate agent failure modes such as hallucination, tool misuse, and state errors
- Manage the full lifecycle of agent systems, from initial design through long term operation
What You Have:
- Strong Python engineering skills
- Experience building and maintaining agent-based AI systems in production
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks such as LangGraph or LangChain
- Experience building and operating RAG systems
- Experience with Elasticsearch or similar retrieval or search systems
- Experience with agent evaluation beyond manual testing
- Comfortable owning systems independently
Nice to Have
- Experience with learning and improving agents via feedback loops
- Experience with MLflow, Databricks, or large scale batch jobs
