ROLE OVERVIEW

Do you excel at bringing stories to life? Are you excited by the opportunity to help position a growing marketing agency at the forefront of industry conversations? Salt XC is seeking an experienced Agency Communications Manager to help tell our story and strengthen our brand, reputation and visibility both internally and externally.

In this role, you will work closely with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to bring Salt XC’s communications strategy to life through compelling content and communications initiatives across audiences and channels.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

External Communications

  • Support the execution of Salt XC’s external communications plans and content calendars, developing communications that strengthen the agency’s reputation, visibility and market presence.
  • Develop compelling messaging and content that amplifies agency news, new business wins, key hires, standout client work and other milestones, helping position Salt XC at the forefront of industry conversations.
  • Execute PR and earned media initiatives, including media outreach, press releases, announcements and inbound media requests, identifying opportunities to generate meaningful coverage for Salt XC.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry media and PR partners to expand Salt XC’s presence.
  • Identify and coordinate thought leadership opportunities for Salt XC and its leaders, including speaking engagements, panels, judging opportunities, contributed articles and industry commentary.
  • Manage the development and submission of agency awards and industry recognition opportunities, partnering with internal teams to build compelling submissions that keep Salt XC’s best work in the spotlight.
  • Manage Salt XC’s social media channels and content calendar, partnering with the Social & Creator team to showcase the agency’s work, people and culture.
  • Maintain a consistent Salt XC brand voice and narrative across external communications, tailoring content and messaging to the channel, audience and moment.

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Manage the day-to-day execution of Salt XC’s internal communications, working closely with People & Culture to keep employees informed, connected and engaged around agency priorities, news and key initiatives.
  • Manage the weekly Salt Stand Up, including content planning, leadership inputs, development of materials and overall delivery.
  • Develop clear and engaging communications for agency news, organizational updates, leadership communications, Town Halls and employee initiatives, bringing Salt XC’s culture and values to life.
  • Partner with People & Culture to activate Salt XC’s employer brand across social media, website content, recruitment and employee engagement initiatives.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, marketing and/or content.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, business or related field preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling and copywriting skills across multiple formats.
  • Proven experience executing integrated communications, PR, social media and content initiatives across internal and external channels.
  • Strong understanding of brand voice, messaging and reputation, with the ability to translate communications strategies into compelling content.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate across teams and levels of an organization.
  • Highly organized, proactive and resourceful, with strong judgment and attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong proficiency across PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, project management, AI and content/design tools.
  • Experience working within marketing, advertising, communications or professional services organizations is a strong asset.
