As a Risk Management Advisor, Property and Casualty Insurance, working on a process and continuous improvement team in the property and casualty insurance distribution field, you help with analysis, research and development related to risk management oversight as the 1A line of defence in a an environment that works closely with operations. You advise and assist operations and our partners on a variety of important development initiatives related to property and casualty insurance. You propose solutions to improve or optimize processes and programs. You prepare recommendations, solutions and action plans based on the organization’s objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems. You use your analytical skills and detailed knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical. You interact with key players working in other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. Your contribution helps secure operations, support long-term performance and maintain the trust of our clients and partners in a constantly evolving environment. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Ensure the completion of the various steps in the operational control cycle
  • Act as a strategic partner for operations to better anticipate, understand and mitigate risks, while improving process efficiency
  • Diagnose issues, risks, and opportunities for improvement to define concrete and measurable results
  • Lead or contribute to key initiatives and projects
  • Provide advice and support to the organization’s units and practitioners
  • Ensure effective alignment with key players with different areas of expertise

What you bring to the table 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking parteners, members and/or clients
  • Expertise in analyzing and solving complex problems
  • Advanced knowledge of the property and casualty insurance or risk management sector
  • Knowledge of cross-sector environments involving multiple key players
