We're looking for an experienced pricing leader who can bridge technical expertise with business insight, inspire a high-performing team, and help bring our pricing strategy to life.  If you are passionate about solving complex challenges and influencing business outcomes, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of pricing strategies as we bring together books of business. You will guide a team of pricing professionals, and partner together with stakeholders across the organization to ensure our products remain competitive, profitable, and aligned with business objectives. 

You will report into the VP-Actuarial Services and collaborate with a diverse group of Actuaries, Data Scientists, Underwriting, Distribution, and Claims professionals. Your leadership and expertise will directly influence strategic decision-making and contribute to the organization’s long-term success. 

What will you do:

  • Lead Commercial Pricing Strategy: Develop and execute pricing strategies that support profitable growth.
  • Drive Analytical Excellence: Lead the development, enhancement, and governance of pricing models and methodologies.
  • Build and Develop Talent: Coach and mentor a team of actuarial analysts, fostering technical excellence and professional growth.
  • Partner Across the Business: Collaborate with Underwriting, Distribution, and Claims to develop pricing solutions that support strategic initiatives.
  • Innovate and Improve: We are committed to your professional development. You'll engage in project-specific research to continually develop your skills and have the unique opportunity to collaborate with our Underwriting and Claims departments. 

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Education & Exams: Undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Data Science, or Finance & Risk Management (FARM). FCAS or close equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience: You have 7+ years of experience in a relevant role at a Property & Casualty insurance company.
  • Technical Skills: You are proficient in Python, SQL, R, Power BI or similar technologies. Experience with predictive modelling, portfolio management, and pricing optimization techniques is an asset.
  • Leadership Competencies: You are a strong communicator with the ability to influence decisions and drive results in a collaborative environment.

#LI-Hybrid 

The expected base salary range for this position is $118,500 - $168,500. Depending on your relevant experience, skills, qualifications, market conditions and business needs, base compensation may vary. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.

Please note: This range reflects the expected base salary for this role but may not represent the full compensation range for all experience and skill levels. During the recruitment process, we will discuss and consider how your unique qualifications align with the broader range for this position.
