We are seeking a well-rounded individual able to work in a fast-paced environment to join the dispatch operations team at the company’s office in Brampton, ON.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate, track and trace all shipping and handling requests with customers and suppliers in support of a customer specialized project.
- Manage customer expectations and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure customer commitments are met, working with internal teams and executing operational tasks as needed.
- Collaborate and provide assistance to Customer Service Manager in delivering optimal transportation service solutions.
- Maintain a database of clients, prospects, partners and vendors.
- Provide Customers with timely updates of all shipments.
- Assign shipments to internal business units.
- Report weekly KPIs top Clients and Supervisor.
- Coordinate prospect, sales and current customer meetings working closely with VP of Sales/CS.
- Develop relationship with Clients to Expand business.
Requirements
- 2+ years of trucking industry and/or dispatch experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations preferred.
- Positive attitude with good people skills.
- Good command of MS Office (Excel and Word) with an ability to quickly learn new software.
