JOB SUMMARY:

Under moderate supervision, provides support for month-end closing requirements including fixed assets, journal entries, banking, financial reporting and closing requirements. Acts as a liaison between multiple departments to resolve issues or answer inquiries. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs accounting functions including monthly account reconciliations, monitoring certain monthly accruals and preparing journal entries in order to ensure proper reporting financials.
  • Maintains and analyzes fixed asset ledger in order to ensure purchases are classified properly and fall within budget.
  • Performs and analyzes monthly closing and various daily activities in relation to inventory and cash management.
  • Ensures internal controls are operating correctly with the goal of zero deficiencies through JSOX auditing.
  • Performs financial analysis and assists in financial reporting activities in order to ensure proper recording of transactions.
  • Investigates and analyzes accounting and financial related data in order to reconcile and audit information.
  • Performs more complex intercompany account reconciliation.
  • Assists with process improvement activities including maintaining and implementing internal controls.
  • Acts as a liaison between internal departments and other DENSO locations in order to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Performs monthly financial reporting as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 0-3 Years of Related Experience

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Must also have knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to discuss or transmit primarily factual information to internal and external customers in the normal course of performing duties
  • Strong analytical skills to investigate, interpret and reconcile information from several distinct sources in situations where conclusions or resolutions are discernible
  • Customer service skills to display a service-oriented attitude in addressing and responding to customer issues

Range of Expected Annual Salary, inclusive of discretionary annual bonus: $59,220 – $75,845

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an asset
