The Account Owner serves as the main contact for clients, managing relationships and providing support while optimizing account revenue through strategic planning and sales presentations.

The Account Owner is the primary point of contact with the customer and provides customer/technical support, planning and optimization for the account. The Account Owner maintains and develops relationships with existing and new clients while ensuring the best possible revenue for ZIM.
Key responsibilities:
- Meets with clients in person for negotiating rates and closing deals.
- Delivers all sales presentations to key accounts.
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans.
- Develops new account.
- Establishes and coordinates specialized rates (per commodity - if/when mandate has been assigned to him/her) for each office.
- Communicates with other offices in regard to specialized rates .
- Forecast and track key account metrics.
- Report on market activity (weekly).
- Benchmarking and intel gathering on customers and competition.
- Monitor and manage account’s business volume and revenue metrics within our company CRM system.
- Maintain and log sales activities in the CRM system.
- Generate periodic customer forecast figures.
- Respond to inquiries, by email or phone, from clients/vendors and other ZIM Offices.
- Act as a backup to team members.
Requirements:
- C.E.G.E.P. (or equivalent) diploma
- Three to five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer Literacy
