We are looking for a confident and versatile Account Manager in our Toronto office.


The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as a day-to-day contact for clients, with a deep understanding of the Canadian media and influencer landscape; strong presentation skills, ability to write for different audiences; bringing varied client experience including B2B and B2C.

What You'll Do:

Account Management:

  • Serve as day-to-day client contact across 4-6 diversified accounts simultaneously
  • Develop integrated communications strategies across client portfolio
  • Lead client meetings, prepare materials, and manage follow-up communications
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively present solutions
  • Create and execute multi-channel campaigns across traditional PR, digital, and influencer marketing
  • Develop tactical plans aligned with business goals including outlining objectives, strategy, engagement tactics and determining KPIs
  • Stay closely connected to the industries you are working in to understand challenges and opportunities for your clients (i.e. read the news, communicate findings, flag issues IRT)
  • Lead cross-functional teams on integrated campaigns
  • Manage project workflows, timelines, and deliverables across multiple accounts
  • Oversee budget management for varied program types and sizes (fee and OOP tracking)
  • Manage relationships with vendors and other partners
  • Mentor junior team members and share cross-sector learnings
  • Collaborate with specialized practice groups within the agency and greater Golin network

Media & Influencer Relations:

  • Write compelling content including releases, pitches, backgrounders, and briefing documents
  • Manage national media strategies to enhance brand visibility across all channels
  • Execute brand events and consumer activations with end-to-end management
  • Cultivate strong relationships with national media across various beats (business, consumer, lifestyle, tech, healthcare)
  • Identify thought leadership opportunities across different industries
  • Secure coverage across broadcast, radio, online, and print for diverse client needs
  • Manage and oversee media monitoring and reporting
  • Manage influencer programs from identification through content review and reporting

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive account management experience in PR agency setting
  • Bachelor's degree and PR certificate from recognized institution
  • Experience working across different sectors including consumer and B2B (or have the desire and motivation to learn the areas where you do not have as much experience)
  • Strategic thinking with ability to adapt approach by industry
  • Excellent writing and storytelling across different tones and audiences
  • Strong understanding of Canada’s media landscape and knowledge of beats and sectors
  • Budget management experience
  • Proficiency in both traditional and digital PR tactics
  • Experience with influencer marketing platforms (CreatorIQ or similar)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and PR tools (Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack)
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills (you love a WBS!)
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to confidently communicate with a variety of clients
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work across teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability in fast-paced environment
  • Natural curiosity and desire to learn about new industries
  • Experience leveraging AI tools for efficiency
