The Account Manager at Edelman will oversee B2B marketing and communications projects, manage client relationships, execute integrated strategies, and leverage digital data for strategic solutions.

Edelman Toronto is looking for an Account Manager to join the Business Marketing team, working closely with the other Edelman specialties including Creative, Digital and Paid and Performance team. Reporting to an Account Director, Business Marketing, the Account Manager will be responsible for managing and executing integrated projects for various B2B clients across both marketing and communications, with a key focus on digital. As an Account Manager, you have a passion for complex business challenges and diving into analytics to provide clients with strategic solutions.

As we continue to grow the Business Marketing discipline in Canada, we are seeking a new team member who is excited to learn about the world of B2B, including but not limited to analyzing marketing data, understanding emerging digital platforms, and developing breakthrough creative campaigns.
The ideal candidate will thrive on building relationships with both clients and internal peers. They will have extensive experience with many of the following: digital content, channel planning, exposure to paid media strategies, content development, and measurement approaches. They will also have excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to new conditions, assignments, and deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with clients and operate as day-to-day client contact
- Execute and lead B2B marketing and communications programs for clients including oversight/execution of integrated strategies, including account-based-marketing and CRM programs
- Exhibit effective project management working closely with account teams and project management teams – prepare and/or review activity reports and status reports for clients; keep the account team abreast of timelines and deadlines; ensure high-quality delivery against deadlines
- Participate in new business process including research, audits, proposal development and pitch presentations
- Work closely in integrated teams to ensure seamless coordination between marketing and communication activities, and creative campaigns
- Demonstrate an understanding of clients’ business challenges and objectives, with the ability to provide strategic thinking and proactive solutions
- Understands available data on digital platforms, with the ability to read data and strategically leverage to inform strategies
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of budget parameters and ability to handle day-to-day budget
- Viewed as strong "team player" and serve as role model to more junior team members
- Recognize impact of self on others; maintain strong internal/external relationships; support fellow team members

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- 4–6 years of proven experience in marketing and communications, with a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration. Experience working alongside sales teams is a plus.
- Excellent client management skills
- Experience with LinkedIn, CRM platforms, and account-based-marketing, and a track record of strategic deployment of digital tactics and strategy
- Strategic yet creative thinker, self-starter, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously without management supervision
- Proactive thinker with strong problem solving, strategic communication and presentation skills
- Experience with managing budgets that account for staff, advertising, third-party and ongoing fee costs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team atmosphere, serving multiple clients at the same time
- Additional nice to haves include in-platform experience in LinkedIn, CRM platforms (Salesforce, Adobe), Google Analytics; exposure to account-based-experience programs; agency experience.
