Teams at Wealthsimple

Finance interns will join one of six tracks: accounting and reporting, brokerage finance, internal controls, procure-to-pay, debt capital markets, or financial partnerships. Responsibilities include reconciliations, financial reporting, control testing, vendor and invoice processing, capital and liquidity analysis, partnership research, risk monitoring, and process improvement. Interns will use AI, analyze financial data, collaborate across teams, and support real fintech finance operations.

Supports credit strategy and fraud countermeasure projects through SQL analysis, dashboards, visualizations, financial modeling, portfolio and fraud performance evaluation, and risk optimization. Partners with product, engineering, and data science teams to implement strategies, analyze experiments, identify anomalies, and communicate actionable recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Design Intern supporting real product initiatives across Wealthsimple’s Investing, Banking, and other product areas. Responsibilities include owning smaller projects end-to-end, designing UI and interactions, collaborating with product managers, engineers, and designers, participating in customer research, and iterating on shipped products. The role offers mentorship and hands-on experience contributing to production experiences.
