Tell us about VelocityEHS’ mission. How does that mission influence the company culture, and did it impact your decision to join the team?

At VelocityEHS, our mission to create safer, more sustainable workplaces extends far beyond software; it shapes our culture and inspires everything we do. The commitment to helping families return home safely each day was a key factor in my decision to join the company. I see our mission come to life every day through a culture fueled by helpful, kind and enthusiastic individuals who genuinely care about making a difference. It’s a unique environment where people are driven not just by goals but by a shared desire to help others. 

Throughout my career, I’ve sought out mission-driven organizations that bring meaning to their work. As a servant leader myself, I strive to lead with empathy to create a team culture rooted in purpose and passion. I want us to feel connected to the impact we make because the work we do truly matters to every person who relies on our solutions.

 

From your perspective, how does your work connect to the overall company mission?

My team serves as the “connective tissue” between customer-facing teams, ensuring they have the information needed to resolve technical issues and deliver a better customer experience. We operate cross-functionally as subject matter experts, helping customers get their sites up and running quickly so they can return to their essential work. For example, we may collaborate directly with software developers to diagnose and resolve critical technical blockers, while coordinating with customer support to keep the client informed until the issue is fully resolved.

 

What advice would you give a jobseeker hoping to join VelocityEHS?

I know the job market is challenging right now, but I encourage you to stay persistent; the effort is worth it. For me, success came through time, dedication and resilience.
