Teams at Vanta

Lead and grow Vanta’s App Primitives engineering team, overseeing hiring, team health, delivery, and senior engineer development. Own the strategy and roadmap for shared infrastructure including comments, notifications, event logs, feature flags, and task management. Set full-stack technical direction, define interfaces between platform and product teams, manage cross-team dependencies, and partner with engineering, product, and design leaders to deliver scalable shared services.

Lead the migration of Vanta’s compliance data platform from MongoDB to schema-aware PostgreSQL while maintaining backward compatibility and data integrity. Design high-throughput Kafka and S3 pipelines, eventual-consistency safeguards, query APIs, tenant isolation, caching, and distributed storage systems. Set architectural direction, mentor engineers, drive cross-team technical roadmaps, and improve reliability, observability, and operational practices for auditable enterprise-scale infrastructure.

Lead design and implementation of LLM-powered product features, integrate AI into Vanta systems, instrument evaluations and monitoring, collaborate with platform and product teams, make pragmatic technical tradeoffs, mentor engineers, and drive AI product quality and adoption to help customers accelerate compliance and risk management.
