Build and scale Toast’s earnings platform, including tip pooling, redistribution, wage calculation, and earnings retrieval systems. Develop reliable backend services using event-driven architecture, participate in design through deployment, monitor and troubleshoot performance, test and debug code, conduct reviews, and collaborate with product and design. The role focuses on calculation correctness, scalability, and infrastructure that directly affects restaurant employee pay and product revenue.

Lead product design strategy and vision for Toast’s Enterprise Core organization. Build and mentor a high-performing design team, establish design excellence, and deliver intuitive experiences across POS systems, platform ecosystems, web, mobile, hardware, and AI-driven workflows. Partner with product, engineering, analytics, and commercial teams to understand enterprise customers, guide research-informed decisions, conduct design reviews, and use design to improve customer and business metrics.

The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for Toast's Scheduling product, ensuring quality and reliability. Responsibilities include code ownership, mentoring team members, and collaborating with product and design teams.
