SciPlay Employee Perspectives

What drew you back to SciPlay?

The fast-paced, engaging environment at SciPlay was what drew me back. After leaving, I quickly realized that the quiet, monotonous nature of my new job was taking a significant emotional toll. Just five months later, I decided to return to SciPlay. In hindsight, I hadn’t fully appreciated the positive and stimulating work culture until I experienced a different environment.

Thanks to my ongoing strong relationship with my manager, Fred Jammer, we were able to have a candid conversation about the team’s needs and how my skills could contribute while also meeting my professional goals. This mutual understanding solidified my decision to rejoin the team.

Since returning to SciPlay, what are you most excited to have back in your professional life?

The opportunity to reconnect with colleagues, attend industry conferences and enjoy team-building events such as happy hours is invaluable. I appreciate being a part of a larger company culture where I can build relationships across different departments, learn about various roles and contribute to the company’s overall success. The diversity of perspectives and ideas at SciPlay is truly inspiring.

What advice would you offer to leaders who wish to create the type of workplace that draws former employees back, and what do you think defines a truly great workplace?

Investing in company culture is paramount. While many organizations claim to have a “great culture,” this is often a vague concept without concrete actions to back it up. To truly attract former employees, leaders must go beyond lip service and dedicate resources to creating a welcoming and engaging environment. This involves planning inclusive events, fostering open communication and building a supportive community where employees feel valued and connected. By cultivating a strong sense of belonging, companies can increase the likelihood of former employees wanting to return.

A strong sense of community and belonging is the cornerstone of a truly great workplace. While work and personal life are distinct, fostering a genuine camaraderie among colleagues can significantly enhance job satisfaction and overall productivity. I believe that when employees look forward to connecting with their teammates, they’re more engaged, motivated and collaborative. This positive environment not only boosts morale, but also drives innovation and success. These are all reasons why I think SciPlay is a truly great workplace.

What is your role, and what attracted you to SciPlay? Describe the moment when you knew you’d found the right fit.

I’m the senior art director for Jackpot Party. When SciPlay recruited me all those years ago, it was the people I met during the interview process that drew me in. The connections felt natural, whether through mentality, work ethic or sense of humor. The leadership team here checked all the boxes, and I knew I had found the right fit. I think that speaks a lot to the creative and welcoming environment that SciPlay fosters here. From day one, I could tell that every team member’s voice is valued, and that’s been a big factor.

What's your favorite part about working at SciPlay?

My favorite part about working at SciPlay is the people. We’ve built a culture filled with genuine, fun-loving and passionate individuals who truly enjoy collaborating every day. It’s an environment where creativity thrives, ideas are valued and teamwork is at the heart of everything we do. Whether we’re tackling challenges, celebrating wins or sharing a laugh, the camaraderie here makes every day rewarding. It’s more than just a workplace — it’s a community where people support, inspire and push each other to grow.

What advice would you give to job seekers looking to join your growing team?

SciPlay thrives on passion — passion for our work, passion to succeed and passion for collaboration. Show your dedication, take pride in your contributions, and bring your ideas to the table. We’re a team of open-minded individuals who encourage, value and reward creativity, risk-taking and innovation. SciPlay’s continued focus on becoming a player-first company is more important than ever before. Creating deep retention loops by constructing a catered experience for our players is how we are attacking this market. Changing the mindset on becoming a player first company starts with becoming players ourselves. Living through player’s vision is key

SciPlay fosters a fun, collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to improve the skills they’re passionate about. I joined SciPlay 6 years ago as a Marketing Lead and over time, added the LiveOps side of the business to my responsibilities. Now I’ve moved to be a Monetization Director on Gold Fish Casino Slots!
