Software engineering interns develop and test customer-facing infotainment, mobile, connectivity, and automotive applications. Responsibilities may include Android Automotive development, platform software, wireless and telematics integration, 3D graphics, automation testing, debugging, and presenting project progress. Interns collaborate with product and design teams throughout a full-time January-to-August 2027 internship.

Design and build Android-based infotainment applications for Rivian and Volkswagen Group OS. Lead architecture, create modular libraries and design patterns, collaborate with product and UI/UX teams, optimize performance, write tests, perform code reviews, integrate with AOSP, and mentor engineers while delivering demo apps and production releases.

Develop, maintain, and customize core Android OS components for automotive infotainment. Implement and optimize HALs, tune system performance (boot time, memory, stability), integrate features, debug system-level issues, and write performance-critical foundational code while participating in design and code reviews.
