Join an agile Scrum team to develop and test firmware for embedded CPUs in custom ASICs driving optical network equipment. Collaborate on feature definition, coding, testing, and mentor interns/co-ops.

Design, implement, and test firmware for next-generation optical engines (long-haul, metro, DCI). Produce firmware requirement and design documents, collaborate with optical/hardware/FPGA/software/manufacturing/test teams, support manufacturing knowledge transfer, debug customer issues, contribute testing documentation, participate in design reviews, and drive firmware development process improvements.

Validate and test optical coherent pluggable firmware (ZR/ZR+, DWDM, CMIS), develop and automate Python test scripts on PACE, run manual and automated lab tests, debug customer issues, set up/maintain lab equipment, and document results while collaborating with cross-functional scrum teams.
