Designs and improves automotive manufacturing processes, particularly extrusion operations. Leads troubleshooting, product trials, continuous improvement, scrap reduction, OEE improvement, process capability, APQP, PFMEA, quality-system compliance, tooling reviews, supplier coordination, new product launches, and cost-reduction initiatives. Supports standardized work, preventative maintenance, production training, time studies, process documentation, and cross-functional projects while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.

Sources and purchases parts and services, selects and manages suppliers, negotiates purchase orders, develops commodity strategies, monitors supplier performance, and drives cost improvements. The Buyer coordinates sourcing and launch activities, maintains item master data, supports engineering changes, analyzes supply and market data, reports savings and supplier performance, and builds supplier relationships. The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and occasional travel to suppliers.

Maintains and troubleshoots automated paint machinery, robotic spray equipment, bell applicators, and paint delivery systems. Performs preventative maintenance, calibrations, robotic failure resets, root-cause analysis, and equipment testing. Reviews robot movements, paint parameters, production defects, yield, and downtime to improve paint quality, consumption, and production performance. Collaborates with maintenance and application teams while following safety and environmental requirements.
