Teams at Jetson

Serve as Jetson’s first IT hire, building the IT function across multiple sites and countries. Own identity integrations, joiner/mover/leaver access, device lifecycle management, endpoint security, networking, VPN, remote access, IT support, hardware and software procurement, and new warehouse technology deployments. Establish playbooks, standard equipment, and scalable processes while coordinating cabling and installation partners. The role is hands-on, in person in Kitchener, Ontario, with occasional travel to US and Canadian sites.

Build and maintain production software and AI-powered product features using LLMs, embeddings, and related capabilities. Apply sound engineering judgment to system design, APIs, testing, reliability, latency, cost, evaluation, and graceful degradation. Pioneer AI-native development practices, teach effective AI-assisted workflows, and identify opportunities to apply AI to scheduling, optimization, anomaly detection, customer communication, and operational workflows in home electrification.

Build and own end-to-end user-facing features spanning mobile apps, backend services, and IoT devices. Design APIs, data models, state management, and integrations for thermostats, heat pumps, EV chargers, and energy optimization. Apply testing, code review, and CI/CD practices, collaborate cross-functionally, participate in on-call support, and help shape engineering architecture and standards.
