Teams at HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan)

Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and semantic/analytical data models; extend metric layers for BI and LLM/RAG-driven natural-language analytics; apply AI/ML and data-science techniques to produce trusted investment metrics, insights, and recommendations; embed data quality, lineage, and governance; collaborate with investment, finance, and technology stakeholders to prototype and productionize AI-enabled reporting solutions.

Provide independent oversight and analysis of market risks for the Fund, focusing on Capital Markets strategies. Monitor exposures, limits, and attributions; support stress testing, scenario and sensitivity analysis; develop risk metrics, tools, dashboards and reports; apply programming, automation and AI-enabled tools to improve analytics; and collaborate with portfolio managers and stakeholders to inform risk-aware investment decisions.

Support timely, accurate settlement of marketable securities (fixed income, equities, collateral, securities lending/borrowing). Investigate and resolve settlement breaks, failed trades and claims, maintain broker settlement instructions, perform reconciliations, document controls, and liaise with Investment Management, custodian, brokers and counterparties. Provide process improvement and backup support to Senior Analyst.
