Owns product strategy and roadmap for Honeycomb’s AI-powered observability experiences, including Canvas, agentic investigations, Skills, and MCP. The role combines customer research, AI/ML trend analysis, strategic prioritization, cross-functional collaboration, product innovation, and technical evangelism. The successful candidate will ship AI features, guide portfolio-wide AI adoption, communicate trade-offs, and articulate Honeycomb’s perspective on AI observability to customers and technical communities.

Lead delivery and growth of Honeycomb Private Cloud, including infrastructure, tooling, operational processes, customer engagements, and cross-organizational engineering priorities. Build and develop a senior engineering team, maintain operational health and on-call practices, support enterprise security and procurement processes, and scale the product for increased demand. The role requires Kubernetes and AWS fluency, customer-facing leadership, strong prioritization, and experience operating software in private cloud, on-premises, or similar environments.

Leads the deployment of AI-powered workflows across business functions, transforming manual processes into measurable, production-ready systems. Partners with department leaders and Engineering to build automation, evaluation, monitoring, governance, and shared AI infrastructure. Develops templates, playbooks, training, and enablement to increase adoption while ensuring security, privacy, compliance, and responsible data use. Requires strong hands-on AI fluency, cross-functional leadership, workflow expertise, and the ability to teach complex concepts clearly.
