Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 desk-side technical support for attorneys and staff, including hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, video conferencing, basic networking, VPN, and remote desktop access. Troubleshoots firm applications, manages support tickets and inventory, assists IT engineers, supports office projects, and participates in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations.

Supports intellectual property attorneys and patent agents with U.S. and foreign patent prosecution filings, docket management, deadline tracking, client correspondence, electronic submissions, file maintenance, billing, expense reporting, and attorney calendar coordination. The role requires strong knowledge of patent prosecution procedures, IP terminology, legal filing systems, office technology, and client service. It also delegates clerical tasks, coordinates file transfers, and ensures accurate, timely completion of work.

Analyzes and resolves conflicts of interest involving new business, attorneys, staff, and merger candidates. Drafts conflict waivers and ethical walls, advises attorneys on professional responsibility obligations, conducts client background research, and prepares legal research memoranda regarding ethics and risk management. Requires occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday conflicts checks.
