Research and reverse-engineer web anti-automation systems, including browser detection, challenge flows, fingerprinting, and obfuscated JavaScript. Build and deploy browser automation, diagnostic, and monitoring infrastructure that improves scraping reliability across a large crawling fleet. Measure scrape success, investigate regressions, and ship production fixes quickly while collaborating with platform engineers.

Own Firecrawl’s open source repositories, including the main Firecrawl repo and anydoc document parsing engine. Responsibilities include triaging issues, reviewing pull requests, cutting releases, writing documentation, improving self-hosting, designing APIs and primitives, and shipping code weekly. The role requires strong engineering ownership, open source judgment, and a track record of maintaining or significantly contributing to widely used projects.

Own enterprise security and deployment requirements from discovery through shipped platform capabilities. Build reusable cloud and on-premises infrastructure supporting key management, tenant isolation, compliance integrations, and hybrid or multi-cloud deployment. Partner with sales, founders, and platform engineers, communicate designs to enterprise security teams, and directly implement solutions in TypeScript and Node.js.
