Teams at Essex Property Trust

Manage community accounting operations including posting payments, deposit accounting, month-end, collections, resident communications, and supporting legal eviction/small claims processes. Provide high customer service and maintain compliance with company policies and applicable laws.

Support corporate accounting by performing month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, payroll activities, cashbook and debt management, bank reconciliation, and deposit clearing in Yardi. Prepare financial analyses, assist audits and treasury/property accounting, drive process improvements, and provide backup to other accountants.

Serve as the primary in-person resident contact to manage communications, facilitate move-ins/outs, handle CRM tasks (Funnel), support community management, organize resident events, and ensure compliance with Fair Housing and other regulations. Maintain excellent customer service, handle confidential information, and perform on-site duties five days per week with occasional travel for meetings and training.
