Designs, programs, tests, debugs, and commissions PLC- and PC-based control systems for custom automation machinery. Integrates robots, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems, lasers, and other hardware and software. Collaborates with engineering teams, customers, project managers, toolmakers, and electricians to deliver complete systems. Responsibilities include machine installation, global customer and supplier travel, technical troubleshooting, documentation, and customer training.

Leads technical writing for nuclear projects, developing operations and maintenance manuals, design descriptions, and customer-facing documentation. Oversees document quality, control, planning, reviews, and continuous improvement while mentoring writers and coordinating with engineering, project management, sales, marketing, and service teams. Requires nuclear industry technical writing experience, mechanical and electrical aptitude, engineering drawing literacy, and familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PLCs, and ladder logic.

Leads electrical hardware design and costing for custom automation projects. Reviews and approves designs, coordinates electrical and controls development, ensures quality, safety, reliability, budgets, milestones, and ISO compliance. Provides technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to design staff; manages project deliverables, materials, issues, and cross-functional coordination with project management, vendors, and customers.
