Teams at DS Smith

Lead multi-shift conversion and corrugator production teams to deliver safe, high-quality, on-time customer orders. Own operational performance, equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, changeovers, waste reduction and KPI-driven continuous improvement. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Planning to optimize utilization, tooling, inks and scheduling while developing team capability through coaching and structured development.

Operate site vehicles to move, prepare and position curtain-sided trailers for loading and unloading; inspect and sweep trailers, secure and unsecure loads and restraint systems, comply with safety procedures, and manage trailer supply to meet on-time customer targets.

Plan and schedule customer deliveries and backhauls to meet delivery windows and safety/regulatory requirements. Manage transport office tasks, communicate with customers, stakeholders and subcontractors, resolve queries and complaints, and develop backhaul lanes to improve fleet utilisation. Monitor driver hours/WTD compliance, identify cost and time efficiencies, and provide shift cover on a rotating shift pattern including occasional Saturdays.
