Supervise digital journalism operations for Globalnews.ca, reporting and editing stories while mentoring reporters and ensuring timely, accurate, high-quality online content. Oversee news coverage, social media promotion, audience growth, site performance, scheduling, content standards, and viewer relations. Collaborate with managing editors, news directors, marketing, and digital leaders to improve workflows and support multiplatform publishing. The role requires strong journalism, editing, communication, organizational, and team leadership skills in a high-pressure newsroom environment.

Produces, writes, edits, and lines up live and packaged television news broadcasts for multiple Canadian markets. Operates live events through a control room, develops graphics with production teams, participates in editorial planning, and determines newscast direction with senior editorial staff. Requires strong news judgment, broadcast writing and video-editing skills, multitasking under tight deadlines, collaboration, leadership, and social media familiarity. This is a part-time, on-site role with varied weekend and evening shifts.

Coordinate television commercial traffic by creating daily logs, scheduling commercial materials, managing inventory, entering sales bookings and billings, and delivering final schedules to Master Control. The role works with Sales, agencies, clients, and internal teams to secure creative approvals, meet deadlines, maintain accuracy, minimize financial risk, and follow channel-specific requirements. Additional duties include reporting, auditing traffic work, resolving scheduling issues, and supporting related teams.
