Teams at Child Development Institute (CDI)

Leads CDI’s financial operations, accounting, reporting, budgeting, audits, compliance, treasury, funder reporting, and internal controls. Manages and develops the accounting team, partners with program leaders on financial analysis and decision-making, and improves financial systems and processes. The role requires CPA expertise, Canadian nonprofit accounting knowledge, advanced Excel skills, strong analytical and communication abilities, and experience overseeing core finance functions.

Leads budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, funder reporting, and management reporting across multiple funding streams. The role analyzes variances and trends, supports funding applications and resource allocation, improves reporting frameworks, and enhances QuickBooks data structures and financial processes to reduce manual reconciliation. Collaboration with finance, program leaders, and senior leadership is central to ensuring accurate, compliant, and actionable financial information.

The Therapeutic Recreation Facilitator will co-facilitate group programs focused on therapeutic recreation, supporting social skills, emotional regulation, and mental health needs of youth clients.
